Kiritanpo

The indigenous dish Kiritanpo, that is representative of rice-producing Akita Prefecture, has been handed down from ancient days, and was originally popularized as a preservative food by hunters in the northern part of Akita Prefecture. The Kiritanpo pot in which ingredients are boiled in fatty chicken soup has a unique flavor.
